2 new milestones in WP1 - Rationales and frameworks for stakeholder engagement in radiation protection

Overview

There are two new milestones prepared in the WP1 - Rationales and frameworks for stakeholder engagement in radiation protection:

• Milestone 1.2 “Identified legal provision for stakeholder engagement”  presents results of first analyses performed upon collected legal framework and other international guidance and recommendations. The results of analyses prove that the legal requirements for stakeholder engagement are mainly basic and instrumental with some evidences to be also normative. The level of participation is involvement and participation in the decision making, although it is mainly formalised and limited to certain steps in the process. Download the report.
• Milestone 1.3 “Round table discussions held jointly with the NERIS WG ‘Information, Participation and Communication’ at the 4th NERIS Workshop on April 25, 2018, in Dublin” provides the summary of the discussions with representatives of authorities, technical specialists and researchers on stakeholder involvement, knowledge base and good practices of implementation of EURATOM directives related to emergency preparedness and response. Download the report.
